Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using BlikBrein (the "App"), provided by BlikBrein ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including learners, parents, and sponsors.

BlikBrein is a bilingual (English & Afrikaans) mathematics study companion for South African learners in Grades 8–12 following the CAPS curriculum. It provides video lessons, practice quizzes, AI-powered tutoring (Wonder AI), and teacher Q&A features.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, decompile, or destabilise the App
• Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Upload, generate, or share content that is offensive, abusive, or unlawful
• Misrepresent your identity, grade, or school affiliation
• Share your account credentials or subscription access with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

BlikBrein offers the following subscription tiers. By subscribing, you agree to the terms below.

• Billing: Subscriptions are managed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payments are subject to their respective terms and conditions.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Management & Cancellation: Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be directed to the respective app store (Apple or Google), as we do not process payments directly.
• Grace Period: If a payment fails, your account may enter a grace period. Access continues for a short window while the payment issue is resolved.

The App includes Wonder AI, an AI-powered maths tutor. Credits for Wonder AI are allocated monthly based on your subscription tier and reset at the start of each billing cycle.

• Free Learner: 0 credits
• Lite Scholar: 800 credits per month
• Full Master: 2,200 credits per month

We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated responses. Wonder AI is intended as a study aid and should not replace the advice of a qualified educator. Always verify important answers with your teacher.

Do not submit personally sensitive or confidential information through Wonder AI chat.

Lite Scholar and Full Master subscribers may submit mathematics questions to our teacher team. By using this feature, you agree that:

• Questions must relate to the CAPS mathematics curriculum for your grade
• Answered questions may be visible to other learners in the same grade and language group
• We do not guarantee a specific response time, though we aim to answer within 48 hours
• We reserve the right to decline, edit, or remove questions that are off-topic or inappropriate

BlikBrein supports linked Parent accounts for monitoring a learner's study progress, and Sponsor accounts for organisations or individuals who purchase subscription access for groups of learners.

• Parents may link to a learner's account with the learner's consent
• Sponsors may invite learners to a sponsored group; learners may accept or decline
• Sponsor-granted access ends when the sponsor's subscription ends or the learner is removed from the group
• Parent and Sponsor accounts do not have access to the full learner curriculum; their access is limited to monitoring and management features

All content within the App — including videos, quizzes, PDF worksheets, and interface design — is the property of BlikBrein or its licensors and is protected by copyright law.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell any content from the App without prior written consent. Content is licensed for personal, non-commercial educational use only.

Images or files you upload to Wonder AI remain your property. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process the content solely for the purpose of providing the AI tutoring service.

BlikBrein is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlikBrein shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of study progress, or examination results.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described therein.

We use Firebase, Crashlytics, RevenueCat, and Google Analytics to operate and improve the App. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
